James Nastars

Mr. Nastars has been with Meritrust since 2013 and in the credit union and banking industries for more than 35 years. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Within the Wichita community, he serves on the Boards of Kansas Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Wichita Foundation, Greater Wichita Partnership Executive Advisory Board, Wichita State Barton School of Business Dean's Advisory Board, and Support for Catholic Schools. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Institute of Personal Financial Planning at Kansas State University. Within the credit union industry, Mr. Nastars serves on the Boards of MEMBERS Development Corporation (MDC) and CU Next Gen.


Jamie Harrison

Ms. Harrison has been with Meritrust since 2005 and in the credit union and banking industries for more than twenty years. Ms. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wichita State University and her MBA from Newman University, and she is Design-Thinking certified. In her current role at Meritrust, she leads new membership acquisition and deposit growth strategies, FOM and market expansion strategies, marketing/communication and brand equity initiatives, community partnership/engagement efforts and governmental affairs. In addition to this, Ms. Harrison also oversees member experience and corporate engagement. Within the local community she serves on the WSU Barton School Marketing Advisory Board, Maize Education Foundation Board, the Wichita Chamber Board, the Greater Wichita Partnership Strategy Team and as a mentor for several community groups, including the Widener Global Leadership Program.


Wade Bruendl

Mr. Bruendl has been with Meritrust since 1995 and in the financial services industry for more than three decades. He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from Baker University. In his current role at Meritrust, he oversees digital banking, digital channel strategy and remote banking delivery. Mr. Bruendl also serves on the Board of Constellation Digital Partners, LLC. Within the Wichita and Benton communities, he serves on the Board of Air Capital Aviators Club and in committee leadership at Benton Church.


Karen Callaway

Ms. Callaway has been with Meritrust since 1997. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Southwestern College. In her current role at Meritrust, she oversees enterprise risk management, compliance, special accounts, quality assurance and business continuity planning and project management. Ms. Callaway is certified as a Credit Union Compliance Expert, a Credit Union Risk Management Expert and as a GIAC Security Leader. Within the Wichita community, she serves on the Board of Dress for Success Wichita, is a Big Sister with Kansas Big Brothers/Big Sisters and volunteers for Junior Achievement.


Evan Wilson

Mr. Wilson has been with Meritrust since 2008 and in the credit union and banking industry for more than 34 years. He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Wichita State University. In his current role at Meritrust, he is responsible for creating and fostering an intentional focus on the financial wellness of our employees and our members, as well as growing and expanding our portfolio of financial service products.

He serves on community boards of Junior Achievement of Wichita, WSU ISEG Advisory Board and ONELINK International. He is as a mentor in the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce's W Program, annual presenter for Professional Edge at WSU and supports multiple community non-profits with leadership training. Within the credit union industry, Mr. Wilson serves on the Cornerstone League Foundation Board and volunteers with the Cornerstone League as a trainer in the Emerging Leaders program.

Cliff Shoff has been with Meritrust since 2004 and in the financial services technology industry for more than 20 years. He earned his Bachelor of Management from Baker University and holds SANS GSEC and GPEN certifications. In his current role at Meritrust, he oversees business systems, technology infrastructure and security, information systems, emerging technologies and software development. Mr. Shoff is a member of the Technology Committees for Fiserv DNA, Heartland Credit Union Association, and Constellation Digital Partners, LLC.


Joley Riley

SVP Chief Retail Officer

Mrs. Riley serves as SVP/Chief Retail Officer. She is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking - University of Wisconsin and has over 25 years in banking experience. In her role at Meritrust, Mrs. Riley oversees all of our consumer retail channels, our retail branch delivery, contact center interactive teller and virtual branch teams, consumer lending, real estate and private banking. In addition to this, she is a part of Meritrust's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Advisory Council.


Jess Howard

Mr. Howard joined Meritrust in 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in various finance and accounting roles. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western New Mexico University. In his current role, he oversees accounting and finance, asset-liability management, human resources, payroll and benefits, and facilities and construction. Within the local community, he stays active with local non-profits and will serve in advisory and board capacities as a representative of Meritrust.
